Dryvembers Mocktail of the Week #4 – Sparkling Rosemary Limeade
Social occasions can be pretty hard if you’re staying off the booze – sometimes the thought of sipping boring water, having a juice or a soft drink are enough to make you want to stay in.
But staying off alcohol on a social occasion, doesn’t mean giving everything up! We have gathered some of our favourite mocktail recipes, which have all the pizazz of a ‘normal’ cocktail, but none of the alcohol!
Whether you’re the designated driver, or taking full part in our #Dryvember campaign, a mocktail can be a great choice.
How to make #Dryvember magic happen:
-Stir the lime juice with the sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn the heat down then simmer stirring frequently, until the sugar is dissolved.
-Add the lime peel and rosemary sprigs and simmer for another minute, before turning off the heat.
-Cover and refrigerate overnight.
-Strain out the lime peel and rosemary
-Mix with the chilled sparkling water in a sealed jar or bottle. (Remember to taste and adjust proportions if necessary!)
-Serve over ice-add a rosemary sprig to garnish if you fancy!
This November, take part in the #Dryvember campaign and help the Alcohol Education Trust raise £25,000 to educate children and parents on alcohol safety in the UK. Join us on our Facebook and Twitter, for some real time banter.
