DRYVEMBER: HAVE A GO AT SAYING NO!

COUNTDOWN TO DRYVEMBER!

Dryvember’s Mocktail of the Week #1 – Strawberry Rouge

Social occasions can be pretty hard if you’re staying off the booze – sometimes the thought of sipping boring water, having a juice or a soft drink are enough to make you want to stay in.

But staying off alcohol on a social occasion, doesn’t mean giving everything up! We have gathered some of our favourite mocktail recipes, which have all the pizazz of a ‘normal’ cocktail, but none of the alcohol!

Whether you’re the designated driver, or taking full part in our #Dryvember campaign, a mocktail can be a great choice.

Strawberry Basil Cocktail

The magic ingredients:
- 2/3 (of the glass measure) of sparkling water or soda water
- 1 tea spoon aged balsamic vinegar
- 6 medium sized strawberries, rinsed and chopped
- 10 basil leaves, roughly chopped
- 160 ml pineapple juice, with no added sugar
- 2 table soon lime juice
- 1 ½ tea spoon of calorie-free sweetener
- 80g crushed ice

How to make #Dryvember magic happen:
- Muddle the basil, strawberries and lime juice.
- Add the soda/sparkling water, balsamic vinegar, pineapple juice, sweetener, and ice into the glass.
- Shake for several minutes, until the drink is chilled and well blended.
- Strain only half of the mixture, so that you still get a few pieces of basil and strawberry in each glass.
- Serve the drink in a chilled martini glass and enjoy!
