Then Sandra and Kathyrn had alcohol awareness week sessions  – Sandra had a fantastic afternoon with the enthusiastic GCSE Citizenship students from Dowdales School. Lots of campaign planning focusing on teenagers and parents and I’m really looking forward to going back before the Christmas holidays to deliver a parent session as part of their campaign – with more sessions to follow in the New Year. Watch this space for the finished campaign leaflets! Keep up the good work! Says Kathryn.

Sandra was at Southmoor academy in Sunderland holding a parent awareness session and I was hosting a ‘DRY’ table at a fundraising lunch. I brought a whole array of drinks… Becks Blue, Sorelle alcohol free wine, bottle green elderflower ginger cordial and pink lemonade. All enjoyed and no complaints as most of us on the table doing #dryvember!!

I wasn’t really looking forward to going out again for a mocktail night – but we had such fun evening – organised by Jane who is doing #dryvember – thank you! – everyone’s support is wonderful, especially the positive way it’s been embraced!! We all had to come with ingredients and a recipe and make our mocktails for each other and marked them out of ten – sounds a bit organised, doesn’t it, but hilarious. We started with tomato saucey – very hot!, then Frampton fizz – pineapple juice, sparkling grape juice and ginger, Hawaiian Twist – loved this one – coconut milk, fresh banana and pineapple juice, fruity antioxidant reviver with frozen blueberries and blackberry coulis… I lost count after that but our last one was melted orange chocolate with Dorset ginger and double cream!!! Calorie count today? Better not get on the scales!
