After a long day of meetings which I won’t bore you with here, had a wonderful treat this evening, attending a gala dinner at the newly refurbished Imperial War Museum. So moving to see the World War 1 exhibition as well as the V2 rocket hanging in the amazing atrium. Hardly time to look round of course, but I can’t tell you how many times I said no to glasses of bubbly with pre reception, post dinner reception, I could go on!… this would have been one of my days off if allowed, but I didn’t waver! Some very important networking to do too, an important part of my job which has to be taken very seriously.

A very disappointing alcohol free selection – just elderflower cordial with odd bits of cucumber string in it, which kept getting stuck! Anyway a great honour and a very moving event. We also visited the poppies at the Tower of London just beforehand, so poignant.
